Abstract


With the accelerated pace of world economic development , it was discovered a long time on the predatory exploitation of natural resources, the formation of the ecological crisis is a serious constraint on economic sustainable development an important factor. In order to maintain regional ecological security and promoting harmony between man and nature , maintaining sustained , rapid and healthy economic and social development of a country or region measuring the ecological carrying capacity of the environment is very important. To this end , the paper selected arid northwest city of Zhangye City for analysis. Zhangye City, the ecological carrying capacity , either a correct understanding of the status of the ecological environment of Zhangye City , ecological protection for the Government to formulate policies to provide workable countermeasures , thus promoting the coordinated development of economy and the natural environment ; but also for other parts of the western governments its regional ecological environment assessment provides methodological guidance . Thesis is divided into five parts altogether . The first part introduces the research background and ecological carrying capacity research status ; The second part of the concept of ecological carrying capacity , research methods were introduced ; third part of the ecological environment of Zhangye City situation and existing problems are analyzed ; the fourth part in the ecological carrying capacity of the many research methods , select the ecological footprint analysis method of Zhangye City , Zhangye City in 2008 and the entire ecological carrying capacity have been calculated based on the results of the production of the reason for this result and with the whole of the Zhangye City , Zhangye City, were compared on the basis of Zhangye City, the future ( 2008 -2020 ) the economic development needs of the ecological footprint forecasting and analysis ; fifth section presents enhanced load capacity of the ecological environment of Zhangye City , to achieve regional harmonious development recommendations accordingly .
