Abstract


Empirical research related to urban renewal has been very extensive, but most is about the study in architectural form, urban redevelopment and the coordination of relevant interests. Studying the transition of resource-based cities from the perspective of urban renewal, can richer theoretical results of urban renewal. This paper focuses on urban renewal and transformation of resource-based theory of urban development and practical experience, etc. will be applied to urban renewal perspective transformation of resources cities under study. The paper reviews the urban transformation of Yumen (Old city).Using research methods of the analysis of reading and classification surveys and comprehensive analysis, focus on the following issues in-depth study:Firstly, the paper defines the connotation of urban renewal:areas for urban decay, making reasonable renewal strategy, through the city’s comprehensive adjustments to resolve the fundamental contradiction between urban decay, revitalize the urban economy, reshape the urban competitiveness and achieve sustainable development of cities.Secondly, compared and learned from the domestic and foreign resources city urban renewal and transformation of various aspects related to the theory and practice, this paper obtained attention to industry leader in the urban renewal strategy and the construction of industrial parks for the city to revitalize declining areas, and gradually realized the sustainable development of urban decline.Thirdly, based on in Yumen (old city) historical review of urban development, introduction and overview of the current status of problems, from the perspective to urban renewal, the paper makes the strategy and priorities, takes industrial transformation of resource-based city model under government-led, based on the construction of Yumen economic development zone of Yumen (old city) spatial structure, infrastructure.Finally, the paper proposed many measures and recommendations of Yumen transformation from regional planning, technology innovation, policy support.
