Objective: To observe nimodipine (ND) cerebral vasospasm after subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) (CVS) the model rabbit plasma brain natriuretic peptide (BNP) and endothelin -1 (ET-1) the impact of the content, to further explore BNP and ET-1 in spontaneous subarachnoid hemorrhage vasospasm mechanism. Methods: using the secondary Note cisternals blood method to establish rabbit CVS model. 40 adult Japanese white rabbits were randomly divided into a the SAH group alone (SAH group) and ND treatment group (ND group). Observed two groups of experimental animals, food intake and neurological function, respectively, using the analysis of enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) and radioimmunoassay (RIA) determination of plasma BNP and ET-1 levels, and after transcranial Doppler ultrasound (TCD) Dynamic observation of blood flow velocity of the two groups of rabbits preoperative and postoperative days 1,4,7,10,14 basilar artery (BA). Results: in SAH group rabbit food intake was significantly reduced neurological symptoms; decrease in the ND group food intake neurological symptoms was mild compared with the model group (P lt; 0.05); in SAH group began to accelerate BA blood flow velocity in the first days after surgery (P lt ; 0.05), 4 to 7 days, and reached the peak (P lt; 0.01), then gradually decreased; the ND group blood flow velocity trends consistent with SAH group, but each time point values ??significantly lower than the SAH group (P lt; 0.05 ). Two groups of rabbits 1 day after injection of blood plasma BNP levels began to increase (P lt; 0.05), ET-1 compared with preoperative elevated but no statistical significance (P gt; 0.05), 4, 7 days a BNP, ET-1 reached its peak (P lt; 0.05 to 0.01) and a trend to decrease over time; ND group BNP and ET-1 levels increased significantly lower than the SAH group (P lt; 0.05 ~ 0.01), but was still significantly higher than the control group (P lt; 0.05) before surgery; basically the same two groups of rabbits postoperative BA blood flow velocity changing trends of their plasma BNP, ET-1 changes. Conclusion: TCD continuous monitoring SAH rabbit model of BA blood flow velocity changes indirectly reflect CVS situation, it can be used to evaluate the scope and extent of the CVS; after SAH plasma BNP, ET-1 content increased with the occurrence of CVS development are closely related, BNP , ET-1 showed dynamic changes its peak prone CVS after SAH CVS extent of the heavier of BNP and ET-1 levels; BNP, ET-1 as a source channels, functional antagonism two vasoactive factors play an important role in the pathological process in CVS after SAH. BNP and ET-1 between the two mutually antagonistic effects on vascular balance is broken, it will definitely cause vasomotor dysfunction, leading to brain circulation disorders, CVS formation. ND can reduce SAH CVS plasma BNP, ET-1 level; by measuring the plasma BNP, ET-1 level changes can help determine whether the degree of CVS, as well as evaluating the SAH after CVS, suggesting that the disease prognosis.
