Objective: To investigate the correlation of serum uric acid level with acute ischemic stroke (Acute ischemic stroke, AIS) and its risk factors (Uric acid, UA) . Methods: in our hospital during the period from December 2008 to September 2010 Department of Neurology, diagnosis and treatment of the clinical data of 200 cases of AIS patients were retrospectively analyzed . And select healthy medical center in our hospital 200 cases for the same period as a control group . Compare two groups of the body mass index (Body Mass Index, BMI), systolic blood pressure (Systolic blood pressure, SBP), fasting blood glucose ( Fasting blood glucose , FBG) , total cholesterol (Total cholesterol, TC), triglycerides ( Triglyceride TG), LDL (Low-density lipoprotein, LDL), blood uric acid (UA), fibrinogen (Fibrinogen, Fg), high-sensitivity C - reactive protein (high sensitive C-reactive protein, Hs-CRP), carotid intima-media thickness (intima-media thickness, IMT), neurological deficit situation (NIHSS score ) . Using univariate and multivariate logistic regression analysis of the relationship between illness group parameters and serum uric acid (UA) . Results: ( 1) ischemic stroke group UA concentration was significantly higher than that in the control group , the difference was statistically significant ( P lt; 0.05 ) , BMI , SBP , FBG , TG , LDL , Fg , Hs-CRP , IMT and control group TC differences significant difference ( P lt; 0.05 ) , the the AIS group with the control group no significant sex ( P gt ; 0.05) . (2) AIS group UA IMT, NIHSS score was positively correlated ( correlation coefficient R R = 0.348 , R = 0.628 , P lt; 0.01 ) . ( 3 ) ischemic stroke risk factors , such as age, BMI , SBP , FBG , TG , LDL , Fg , Hs- CRP Dengjun UA was positively correlated ( correlation coefficient R for 0.479,0.423,0.650, R = 0.258 , respectively , R = 0.442, R = 0.245, R = 0.179, R = 0.427, P lt; 0.05). (4) logistic stepwise regression correction multifactorial interaction in the AIS group , age, SBP , FBG , TG , LDL, Hs-CRP and UA's significant (P lt; 0.05). Conclusions : (1) UA level AIS risk factors ; ( 2 ) elevated UA levels can increase the degree of carotid atherosclerosis and ischemic stroke ; ( 3 ) UA level AIS risk factors such as age, obesity , the close correlation of blood pressure , blood sugar , blood lipids , fibrinogen , C -reactive protein , and jointly promote the occurrence of ischemic stroke .
