Shang dynasty is a country typically .Its agriculture level conditioned the development situation of the whole society , so higher agriculture development level is the prop of the society . Oracle is found the oldest of writing in China , it has a great significance for us to study whatever the ancient writings or the mordern Chinese characters . Records on agriculture , including crops , production tools and methods , laborer and agriculture related sacrifices , were all enough to reflect the Shang dynasty′s agriculture level . The reseach of agriculture of Shang by Ocacle has a very important reference value regardless of wether Oracle or on the status of agriculture in the community .The article mainly to“The Oracle Collections”as the main reference , combined with supplementary materials including“The Supplement to The Oracle Mix”and“The Deficiency of Yin Garden Village East”, through the Oracle glyphs reflected by crops, productivity tools , production , grain processing and storage of crops in Oracle , combining Shang and Zhou dynasties′literatures , and Neolithic , Xia , Shang , Zhou dynasties′archaeological materials , identificated six main crops of Shang– nigrospora panici , millet , wheat , rice , sorghum , soya beans systematically , demonstrated the production tools and methods of Shang specificaliy , and then inferred the levels of agriculture production in the Shang dynasty , analyzed the importance of agriculture in the Shang dynasty and the impact of agriculture in offspring .The main content includes : 1. Introduction , describes the system of political and economic situation of the Shang dynasty , outline the research status of article ; 2. statistical analysis of the frequency of grains found in inscriptions , and illustrates the problems in the statistics ; 3. analyses the cereal species seen in the Oracle detailedly , demonstrating with the archaeological and documentary materials , pointing out that Oracle glyphs and archaeological finds discrepancies and uncertain dlyphs for further analesis ; 4. analyses the production tools and methods seen in the Oracle concretely ; 5. conclution , summarize the Shang dynasty grains and farming in the conclusion of words . The grain crop that Shang mainly includes Shu, millet, rice, wheat, etc , Archaeological discovered sorghum and soybean ,but it needs further study for the corresponding glyph . It is very development to the farming tools and methods of Shang dynasty , there are many records on the plough to the harvest and grain processing , and have great influence to the offspring agriculture production .6. appendix .
