Abstract


Has been Rosenthal Effect ( Pygmalion effect ) or teachers expect effects of the attention of Chinese and foreign scholars and explore , and made ??great achievements . But under the status quo of China's education , the education of expectations on the basis of this theory has not been widespread implementation . Expectations that education is a life -oriented education , by its very nature is that respect for humanity , the perfection of the individual . It requires teachers to establish a whole new outlook on education , student, pay attention to every student , and I believe that every student has a development potential . Based on the theoretical basis for expectations of educational philosophy and pedagogy Rosenthal , Brophy et al are summarized research on teacher expectations , and outlines the factors affecting teachers ' expectations , and experiments to validate the expectations of the educational theory of English teaching in China guides practice , and thus provide a powerful theoretical support for the future of English teaching . In order to verify the effectiveness of expectations of educational theory in English teaching practice , the authors designed a teaching experiment in expectations under the guidance of educational theory . This experiment for two classes of Zhengzhou City, the first 47 high grade , a class of experimental classes , another class control classes . The authors consider the choice of these two classes to their enrollment in English overall level of consistency . Experimental class teaching, the expected educational theory under the guidance of the control class to take the traditional mode of teaching . Experimental methods including questionnaires , tests and interviews . The experimental data obtained from the questionnaires , tests and interviews . The author mainly through the analysis of experimental data to find out the difference between the control and experimental classes of students in academic achievement and performance before and after the experiment . The experimental results show that , due to expectations of education teaching mode , the experimental class , the overall level of students' English has improved, enthusiasm for learning enhanced . Based on the experimental results , this thesis of that expectations of educational theory oriented English teaching in China 's high school education , and expect that the philosophy of education is necessary to educate the teachers of English . And expectations of educational theory , under the guidance of the students' potential can be fully realized , the Comprehensive English proficiency can also be greatly enhanced .
