Abstract


Listening is the core of the communication activities , is the basis for the development of other language skills . Good listening skill is the premise and foundation to learn English . Traditional English teaching too much emphasis on imparting knowledge of the language , and neglect of the training of the students ' language skills and communicative abilities . Due to the negative impact of secondary school English listening teaching has not been given sufficient attention , seriously affecting the smooth progress of the secondary school English teaching . I through their own teaching practice in vocational secondary schools as well as a few vocational schools in Xi'an Listening Teaching understanding of hearing most of the teaching is still in the traditional model , with little success . According to China Knowledge Network ( CNKI ) , most of the empirical study of the communicative approach and task-based approach focused on reading and writing in English , the use of two aspects . Hearing teaching and research mainly in universities and secondary schools , communicative approach and task-based approach combined with secondary vocational schools Listening Teaching empirical research is almost empty . Thus, this study is very important and necessary. This thesis is based on the communicative approach and task-based approach used in the Teaching of English Listening experiments , the study helps to improve the teaching of English listening level and the level of students' listening , through the comparison and analysis of different classes of test data results , and thus has important significance. This article includes five chapters , the first chapter introduces the background and significance of the research , including the analysis of the present situation and the main problems of the vocational schools in the Teaching of English Listening ; second chapter details the communicative approach and task-based approach the theoretical basis , including both the convergence and differences ; Chapter comprehensive display of the communicative approach and task-based approach in vocational English Listening Teaching empirical research , through the pre-test , post-test and questionnaire 16-week teaching experiment , the experimental class to use new teaching methods , reference to the class using traditional teaching methods ; Chapter experimental findings and compared the results to reflect the application of the communicative approach and task-based approach for the Teaching of English Listening Can effectively improve students' listening ability and interest in learning ; fifth chapter is the conclusion of the article , described the inspiration and limitations of the study and recommendations for future research .
