Abstract


Ionic liquids are salts that are liquid at low temperature(< 100 oC). ionic liquids have been applied successfully in synthesis, catalysis, electrochemistry and materialchemistry.Indole as an important kind of heterocyclic compounds is applied widely in medical chemistry, agricultural chemistry, material science and so on. Recently, 3-substituted indoles especially indolylketones have been one of the most active areas in indole chemistry.Aminophosphonates are an important class of biologically active compounds and their synthesis has received a considerable amount of interest because of their structural analogy to aminoacids. They also act as peptide mimics, enzyme inhibitors, herbicides, antibiotics and pharmacologicalagents.In this paper, 21 novel acidic ionic liquids based on benzimidazolium cation were prepared, studied their physical and chemical properties. Selected and used several of acidic ionic liquids as catalysts to synthesize indolylketones andα-aminophosphonates and reaction conditions were optimized.
