Abstract


The dangerous material road transportation has occupied a large part of transportation market. Due to the lively and poor stability physical nature, the dangerous material has the special physical and chemical properties including explosive, inflammables, hypertoxic, corrosive and radioactive. While in the process of road transportation, the risk of dangerous material is big and the accidents are often disastrous. Moreover, it is easy to cause the personnel casualty, the environmental pollution and the property damages.lt can bring the serious social influence, even affects society’s stability. Therefore the research on safety of dangerous material road transportation has the important realistic significance. Based on the research achievement about dangerous material road transportation both in international and domestic, we propose the main content of this article and the research thinking, that is, The security problem of hazardous road transport with countermeasures study——a case study of the NJHX Transport Company.This article introduces the background and significance of this topic firstly, meanwhile, elaborates present situation in related field of international and domestic, proposed the necessity and the feasibility of the analysis of dangerous material road transportation. Secondly, the definition, classification and related principal characteristics of the dangerous material are introduced simply. Then we analyzed the hazardous, the dangerous characteristic and the transportation process dangerous factors of eight kinds of dangerous material road transportation separately, which has made the basis for the next step security evaluation.Thirdly, the characteristic and the security evaluation method of dangerous material road transportation is presented. The security evaluation methods are consisted of the quantitative and the qualitative analysis. Through the comprehensive comparison, the method "the accident tree analysis" is selected to make the security evaluation in this article. The definition, the symbol, the significance, the principle of drawing accident tree, the step of drawing as well as the difference and the relationship between the minimal cut set and the minimal path set in the calculation process are well introduced. After that, the overview of NJHX Transportation Company is discussed simply. Then the dangerous material, transportation work flow, the human’s behavior during the road transportation process as well as the dangerous factor in the road transportation safety control have been illustrated, which has made the foundation for the next chapter of safety analysis.Finally, based on the case analysis in the above research and took the NJHX Transport Company as an illustration. In this paper, we use the method of "the accident tree analysis" and choose "the security supervision problem of the dangerous material goods transportation" as the top accident of the accident tree. The paper carries on the safety analysis of the NJHX Transport Company and draws the analysis conclusion. It proposes the recommend measures from "the employees", "the regulations and management system", "the dynamic supervision of vehicles", in order to supply a reference basis for NJHX Transport Company to reduce the dangerous material road transportation accident rate..
