Abstract


Animal husbandry is one of the most important parts of agriculture, whose modernization level and proportion in agriculture, immediately affect the development of agricultural modernization. During 30 years in Reform and Opening, the animal husbandry of China has had a rapid growth and shifted from household sideline production to the most active mainstay industry in China. While animal husbandry has kept a promising tendency with increasing proportion of intensive culture, of which dispersion culture in countryside is sill the main modality which will persists for years in future. Based on this background, prevention and control of epidemic diseases of livestock and poultry are of significance and ensure the healthy development of the animal husbandry. The necessity of a large scale of rural veterinarian undertaking the diagnosis and treatment for animal diseases as well as other veterinary affaires are determined by the dispersion culture in countryside modality. Employment and behavior involved in veterinary affaires have been standardized after the publication and practice of a series lows concerned management of veterinary issues: Low of the People’s Republic of China on Animal Epidemic Prevention, National Administrative Measures for the National Animal Medical Organization, National Administrative Measures for Licensed Veterinary , National Administrative Measures for Country Veterinary. Due to the crucial role of rural veterinarian in prevention and control of animal in countryside in certain time, further investigation is of necessity to consummate the management of rural veterinary affaires.In present study, by collecting related domestic and international literature, associated with analysis of current regulation and spot investigation, problems including age structure, educational reception, professional title of rural veterinarian and medication in animal disease treatment, involved in the management of rural veterinarian were approached after the Low of the People’s Republic of China on Animal Epidemic Prevention and National Administrative Measures for Country Veterinary.This study has proposed some suggestions regarding enhancement of establishment of rural veterinarians. It is essential to rejuvenate the rural veterinarians and to elevate the educational background and knowledge level. Furthermore, the medication in rural veterinary practice and occupational trainings as well as the financial treatment of the rural veterinarians are expected to pay more attention.
