Objective To study the endothelial cell -specific molecule -1 ( of endothelial cell specific molecule- 1 , ESM -1 ) , the expression levels of matrix metalloproteinase -3 (MMP-3) in hepatocellular carcinoma (hepatocellular carcinoma, HCC) tissue , to analyze the relationship and the relationship between the clinical and pathological features of HCC . Collected Hepatobiliary Surgery, Hunan Provincial People's Hospital of Hepatobiliary Surgery, the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanhua University , 10 February 2010 -2010 menstrual surgical resection and complete clinical and pathological data of 40 cases of HCC in patients with previously untreated fresh specimens (experimental group) and the hospitals over the same period 15 cases of intrahepatic bile duct stones in patients with surgical resection of liver tissue ( control group ) , application immunohistochemistry was used to detect ESM - 1 , MMP -3 expression levels in the experimental group and the control group , the use of image analysis system for determination of ESM -1 , MMP-3 average gray value of semi-quantitative comparison HCC group and intrahepatic bile duct stones in patients with liver tissue ESM - 1 and MMP-3 content , and further analysis of its relationship with clinical and pathological features between relationship. Results 1 ) ESM - 1 in HCC high expression of the average gray value of 105.03 ± 2.58 ; no positive expression of the liver tissue of the control group , the average gray value of 184.27 ± 3.13 . ESM-1 expression in HCC tissue levels were significantly higher (p lt; 0.05); 2) ESM-1 expression in HCC tissues with age , sex , HBV infection, tumor size has nothing to do ( p gt ; 0.05 ) AFP content , cirrhosis , degree of differentiation, portal vein invasion , TNM staging related (p lt; 0.05); 3) MMP-3 is highly expressed in HCC , the average gray value of 103.13 ± 2.02 ; liver tissue of the control group no positive expression , the average gray value of 164.93 ± 3.88 ; ESM - 1 in HCC tissue expression levels were significantly higher ( p lt; 0.05 ) ; 4 ) MMP - 3 in HCC tissue expression with age regardless of the gender , AFP content , cirrhosis of the liver , portal vein violations (p gt; 0.05), with HBV infection , tumor size, tumor differentiation , TNM stage related ( p lt; 0.05 ) ; 5 ) ESM - 1 and MMP-3 in HCC tissue expression was positively correlated (r = 0.641, p lt; 0.05). Conclusion 1) of ESM- 1 , MMP -3 in HCC high expression and is closely related to its clinical and pathological features . 2) ESM-1 and MMP-3 expression in HCC was positively correlated , in promoting HCC invasion and metastasis may act synergistically . 3) detection of ESM- 1 , MMP -3 expression in HCC may contribute to the assessment of invasion and metastasis of HCC .
