Abstract


In modern literature history, the literature in the area occupied by the Japanese troops is a long ignored field, as it was put, by Zhang quan, the Chinese-American scholarunwelcome muse" But, undoubtedly, as a special literary style in a war time, this period of literature history is a very important part, a living witness of the bloody war, a literature history without the literature in the area, therefore can not be a complete modern literature history. This paper, taking the novels by those writers living in the northern China, especially Beijing then, occupied by the invaders, as an important study, explores the writers’ mentalities, one in a special period, from the perspectives of the literary speaking circumstances, the writers’ speaking mentalities, the novels’narative languages, in a bid to get rid of the stereotypes generally used when writers are fallen into groups politically and, writers’ mentalities are judged, by their apparent declarations, and at the same time, outlines the national ideology and the literary motifs in the literary speaking through probing those writers’personal literary activities and the time environments the writers were in, and discusses the intellectuals’ different pursuits of the nation’s ideal and their explorations of life’s values in a specific period of time through depicting Beijing’s circumstances,then under a heavy war culture expression.This paper, in a combination of internal study and external study, in the hinge of "fabricating" and "wording" builds up its thesis: First, the authors’outer context. The upheaval Beijing in the collapsed time exerted a great deal influence on the writers’living conditions and their mentalities, more importantly, through exploring how the aggressors’ culture policy interfered in the literature, reflects then history’atmospheres.Those writers, in a choice of speaking and on speaking, expressed their positions using the literature itself and their actions.This paper, in a combination of internal study and external study, in the hinge of "fabricating" and "wording" builds up its thesis:First, comes the writers’ outer context. The upheaval Beijing at that time exerted a great deal of influence on the writers’ living conditions and their mentalities, added to it is the aggressors’ culture policy interference in the literature, these all factors reflect then history’ atmospheres. Those writers, in a choice between speaking and on speaking, expressed their positions using the literature itself and their actions.Second, are the subjects in the novels by those writers in the northern China, using the internal intensive reading as the main ways, this paper excavates the typical mentalities those writers had. The novels themselves expressed different ideal pursuits and different cultural mentalities, there are heart’s cries and worrying pains, as well as detached postures.Thirdly, it explores the big two literary arguments in the collapsed northern China:folk literature and pornographic literature. This paper’s author, on the basis of the combination of the novel creation’s performance and argument, argues, that, the former, in the narrative language, reflected the national ideology and the national narrative ethics, then, the later, in a distorted rebel form, expressed the national fables-like metaphor build-up.In a word, in a bid to shake off stereotype ways that politically group writers and judge writers’ mentalities only through their apparent declarations, the paper, taking the restoration of the then writers’ living conditions and the analysis of writers’ mentalities as the main purport, outlines the national ideology and the literary choice which embodied in the personally chosen wording by exploration of the writers’ personal literary activities and time circumstances.
