Abstract


From GATT to the WTO, the global economy has created a secure the foreseeable international trade environment, free trade to sustainable development. However, with the development of economic globalization and international trade, the relationship between the environment and trade has increasingly become the focus of attention of the international community. The emphasis on trade liberalization and strengthening environmental protection are two major development of human society, the common pursuit of goals. However, in the process of the realization of the above objectives, but also implies the inherent contradiction between. To promote trade liberalization in the WTO also have to face the reality of world economic integration and environmental protection, globalization must coexist. People see that with the deepening of multilateral trade negotiations in the WTO regime, the strengthening of the trend of trade liberalization, free trade and environmental protection laws conflict date more obvious. For our country's rapid economic development has led to many environmental problems, and strict environmental standards, measures taken by developed countries to China's foreign trade is facing a very severe situation. Through the analysis of free trade under the WTO system conflicts with environmental protection, as well as practice and try to research on the international community to coordinate the relationship between the two, trying to find a better way of free trade and environmental protection laws coordination. The thesis is divided into five chapters: Chapter Introduction, introduces the purpose and significance of the thesis, an overview of domestic and international environmental and trade issues of the status quo, and describes the structure of the paper, the innovation of the paper. The second chapter is the historical evolution of the relations of trade and environment in the WTO system, designed to be introduced from the vertical angle of the generation and development of free trade and environmental protection issues; Chapter introduction of free trade under the WTO system and environmental protection laws conflict, the main include the interaction of trade and environment in the WTO system and the characteristics of the legal system of the WTO environment highlights the manifestation of the conflict of free trade under the WTO system, and environmental protection laws, laying the groundwork for the later coordination; Chapter WTO system under free trade coordinated with environmental protection laws, the chapter describes some typical practices of international organizations, reveals the difficulty of coordinating the relationship between trade and the environment, and finally put forward the idea of ??the solution; Chapter based on China's national conditions, analysis of China's foreign trade and environmental protection encountered the plight of the recommendations of the environmental legislation and the development of foreign trade.
