Abstract


In today's fierce market environment, competition among enterprises has gradually evolved into the supply chain and supply chain competition . In the supply chain , the buyer occupies more and more advantage , in order to enhance their core competitiveness , the buyer will have to outsource non-core businesses , making vendor managed inventory (VMl) gradually prevailed . However, the supplier may not get the benefits from VMI , resulting in lack of participation of enthusiasm, which is VMl can not be used on the entire supply chain of the important reasons . Thus , suppliers in order to reduce the burden of constantly seeking to VMI operation of logistics outsourcing to the appropriate third-party logistics service providers. This review of domestic and foreign VMI, third-party logistics, and value creation relevant theoretical research results , the analysis shows 3PL enterprises to implement VMI VMI business model will become the development trend of policy , on this basis , focusing on analysis of the 3PL business enterprises to implement VMI driving factors , including: the environment-driven , speed driven, efficiency-driven , cost-driven and service-driven ; VMI for 3PL enterprise operational processes in -depth analysis ; and established a 3PL enterprise VMI business pricing model ; through a mathematical model research 3PL business enterprise VMI inventory management strategy gives the model solution ideas, and with suppliers of VMI inventory strategy comparative study verified the validity of the model , and further analysis of the sensitivity of the parameters , the simulation results show that the 3PL enterprises through VMI inventory management strategy for the supply chain as a whole and each member to achieve different levels of value creation , mainly in reducing the total cost of the supply chain , each node in the supply chain enterprises not only greatly reduce the cost of inventory ordering providers and suppliers of products in stock costs, but also to some extent reduce the suppliers of raw materials inventory costs ; addition , 3PL companies in the process of implementing VMI business strategy through the implementation of information sharing , but also give members of the supply chain as well as the implementation of multidimensional enterprise value added , and finally through association introduction of Burlington VMI business cases demonstrate that the proposed strategy of value creation related effects of 3PL business enterprises to implement VMI provide a useful reference .
