Mouth physical condition is a mirror for reflecting life health quality,wnich has been madeimportant symbol about human health by WHO, The highland population of our country rank first in the world, By medical science study affirm: Continental plateau above 3000 meter heigh can initiate obvious biology domino offect to human body, is intensive district of plateau disease, Morbidity rate of mouth disease under highland environment is significantly higher than other areas. The Nagarze County Shannan Prefecture which located in Tibetan Plateau southwest, with an average elevation of only 4500 meter,is representative of numerous tall height and high cold countys in Tibet. By virtue of epidemiology, the expected result is to detect the clinic features of periodontal disease under highland environment and try to find out the relation between mouth disease with plateau environmentMouth disease has features of wide prevalence,concealing attack,gradual invasion and long-lasting course of disease, which has close relation with general health.in plateau district, the influence about mouth cavity health is also evident. Details as follow: first, low oxygen environment in Xizang plateau can give rise to convert of human body blood flow change,then lead to periodontium regeneration function descending, reduceing resistance, increasing periodontitis morbidity and promote periodontitis evolve. Secondly specific climatic environment also affect mouth secretion secretion and reduce mouth self-cleaning capacity which suffer from cheilitis, glossitis and dental caries also easier. Thirdly the source of drinking water in plateau contains mineral substance above the average,which can proment dental calculus lithogenesis then increase morbidity about periodontitis , in addition low content about fluorine in the source of drinking water may also reduce ability of tooth on resisting caries and lead to caries on the high side. At present survey data about tooth state of health in such special environment is blank space in the main,so more scholastic pay attention to relativity between altitude environment with mouth disease more and moreObjective Aim To investigate informations of the prevalence of oral diseases of the Nagarze County Shannan Prefecture and take advantage of limited resource reasonably to provide bases for preventing oral diseasesdental disease of local residents. Methods According to the 3nd national oral epidemiological survey and Oral Health Surveys of WHO,506 residents aged from 19 to 74 years were involved in Oral Health Surveys by sperated four age group(19-34 year-old.35-44year-old. 45-64-year-old and 65-74year-old)Results Results of the clinical examination ,between Tibetan nantionality residents with the Han nantionality residents Caries prevalence rate are 51.4% ,78.2%,93.7%,94.7% and 42.3%,58.3%,79.3%,83.3% respectively, Gingival bleeding rate are41.3% 57.4%,71.8%和73.3%和53.8%,62.5%,65.5%,66.7% respectively; the detectable rate of Dental Calculus are 66.7%,99.1%,96.9%,94.6%and 46.1% ,91.7%,89.6%.77.8% respectively, Periodontitis rate are 5.1%,26.1%,35.9%,44%and 11.5%,33.3%,48.2%,55.6% respectively; impaired teeth rate in the Han nantionality are 30.7%,62.5%,65.5% and 73.6%,meanwhile impaired teeth rate in Tibetan nantionality are 41.3%,76.5%,84.2% and 84.7%,wedge-shaped erosion of teeth are 28.2%,66.1%,60%,55.2%and30.8%,54.1%,72.4%,70.5% respectively.Conclusion The rate of caries, gingivitis and periodontal disease about Resident in plateau is high while the rates of treatment is low, but the Tibetan nationality crowd anoxia compensatory ability is stronger than the Han nationality crowd ,so periodontal disease morbidity is lower than the Han nationality crowd in the same circumstance. care need to be improved,so it is an urgent public project to strengthen the training of doctor and nurse in this area,and to publicize the knowledge of oral health and the system of oral health care should to be established for the resident Tibetan nantionality.
