Abstract

Courses construction, especially brand courses construction, is a basic construction for university quality project. The key to brand courses construction in university is to innovate and practice the courses construction mode and method in line with different conditions, which can not only promote the effective construction of a certain type of courses in the university, but also play a role as a model to certain extent. In China, the research on courses construction mode has not yet been paid fully attention. There are six methods which are mainly used in courses construction nowadays: the well-known teacher leading, the traditional quality courses acting, the teaching and research promoting each other, the teaching method being innovated, the courses construction promoted by assessment and the courses construction promoted by management. Each of these methods has its own advantages and disadvantages, and all the ways are limited by certain practical conditions, which make the final decision on the depth and level of courses construction. Therefore, in order to find the right courses construction method applied in Y faculty of N university that this paper researches on, we should not only refer to some already successful methods, but need to meet the need to be suitable for the conditions of the course itself, which requires establishing an appropriate target and an appropriate mode in courses construction process.The studio mode applied for brand courses construction in the university aims at exploring new kinds of courses construction method, concept and mode corresponding to the reality of Y faculty of N university. It has two meanings. First, it is a new kind of realistic target, that is, according to the realistic conditions of the Y faculty of N university, to blindly purpose the construction of excellent courses is not a realistic target, we must purpose the construction target of the brand course that can show its own characteristics. Second, it is a new kind of mode applied in coursesconstruction——the studio mode applied for brand courses construction in theuniversity. This mode, which overcomes the current lack of a college teacher, the lack of traditional accumulation and the lack of research ability and is created by learning from parts of the advantages of some professional studios in arts institutions, is to promote the brand courses to be produced with the advantages formed through integration of resources.The studio mode applied for brand courses construction in the university is built in four areas, which concludes identification of guiding principle, selecting courses, establishment of organizational structure and designing operational method. The guiding principle is: to promote the organic combination of different courses and to explore courses character; to form course cultural and to expand course repute; to combine theory with practice and to improve the quality of teaching; to integrate courses resources and to form comprehensive advantages. Selecting courses based on the relevancy of the combination of courses, science of courses integration and courses development of forward-looking principle, adopts five steps to carry out, that is "declaration of teachers, the assessment and the recommendation of the department, the assessment of the educational administration department, expert assessment and identification of courses that should be constructed". Organizational structure includes the establishment of studios team members and studio management organization. The operational method design includes funding, hardware implementation, supporting systems establishment and evaluation feedback.To the Y faculty of N university, the studio mode applied for brand courses construction in the university is not only an innovative courses construction mode, but also an exercisable one. Meanwhile, it is a mode with practice based on the reality, that is, with certain construction conditions such as the main part, the hardware and the software of the courses construction. Certainly, there are difficulties and obstacles needing to be overcame. In order to make the studio mode applied for brand courses construction smoothly built and effectively implement, it is also necessary to turn disadvantages into advantages, and to achieve optimal allocation of resources, to actively participate conducting process, and to promote common development, and make our effort for the development of university brand courses construction, especially for the courses construction mode.
