Abstract


More and more attention from scholars at home and abroad with the foreign trade in the continuous improvement of the status of China's national economy and the constant expansion of the processing trade, China's trade interests in international trade. The terms of trade is an important entry point to examine the trade interests in China. To sort out the terms of trade and processing trade theory based on the classification of three categories according to the trade price terms of trade measure, reveal the total price of the terms of trade relative measure China's terms of trade-distorting and thus on Processing Trade on China's terms of trade mechanism made interpretation, and empirical analysis of empirical data on the impact be, and finally build the processing trade, the added value of the terms of trade index to better measure of processing trade in China's trade interests the impact. Empirical study of the first quarter of 2001 to the 3rd quarter of 2008, the total price of the terms of trade, the price terms of trade of the general trade and processing trade price terms of trade were the measure, the following conclusions: First, China's trade structure, the traditional method to measure the total price terms of trade does not reflect the real situation of China's terms of trade, general trade and processing trade shall be divided into research; Second, with the value-added increase in the rate of processing trade, China trade interests; obtained from the processing trade, in general, the price of general trade terms of trade worsening trend, the price terms of trade and processing trade tended to improve after 2007. The paper also analyzes the mechanism of processing trade price terms of trade, and the use of experience data cointegration analysis, the researchers found that can improve the price of China's processing trade export volume growth, optimization of the structure of export commodities, as well as value-added rate increased terms of trade, and the substantial increase of the number of processing trade imports will worsen the terms of trade of China's price. Finally, taking into account the special connotation of to draw income terms of trade, and elements of the terms of trade building methods based on the introduction of the concept of value-added rate index, build the processing trade, the added value of the terms of trade index and processing trade is different from the general trade the measure, which measure the processing trade on China's terms of trade and trade interests.
