Energy is an important factor in world’s economic development and is a sort of strategic resources. The history and development of human society are closely related with utilization of energy. Every time, the development of mankind will have a qualitative leap with the development of new energy.As a clean, renewable energy, Wind power has good economic and social benefits. But under the current technical conditions, there are some disadvantages about the wind power generation. Regardless of the domestic wind power in applications or in the theory, there is a big gap with developed countries. Therefore, achieving lasting development of wind energy and wind turbine localization is important. In the current Wind power generation technologies, because of the environment, weather and many other factors, it’s inconvenient to take on-site testing. So it’s necessary to establish the wind power driveline test platform.This thesis is based on the REPOWER 5MW wind turbine, taking into account about Zhejiang YUNDA wind power company, wind power generation system State Key Laboratory of 5MW test bed. The research is based on the past test bed, configures a five degrees of freedom non-torque load simulator. At last, the main research content of this dissertation is presented:In chapter one, the status of domestic and international wind power development was described, wind turbine drivetrain testing technology were introduced, this chapter also clearly figured out the object of this thesis and the main content.In chapter two, the main principle of wind power was introduced. The content included the aerodynamic of wind turbine blade, wind turbine driveline loads and the blade loads.In chapter three, the Repower 5M wind turbine prototype was introduced, a typical 5MW land-based wind turbine parameters was researched. According to IEC-61400, the typical design load cases(DLCs) was introduced. This paper used aero-elastic simulation software FAST to calculate wind turbine loads, at the same time, the load data in time domain and frequency domain was analysed to determine the load variation.In chapter four, the non-torque loading mechanical system and the hydraulic system was designed. Describing the principle of the mechanical system and the loading device’s hydraulic system; a preliminary design was carried out. The ADAMS simulation about the mechanical structure was made, and the loading control system was described.In chapter five, the non-torque loading simulator system for application case was designed. The full power wind power gearbox test rig and nacelle test stand applications were discussed.In chapter six, some conclusions were made, and the future work was proposed.
