Abstract


Current economic globalization and financial liberalization is booming worldwide and set off a new round of cross-border M \u0026 A wave . Significant impact as an important form of foreign direct investment , it is the world economy . Judging from the current situation , the current round of cross-border mergers and acquisitions in as the leading multinational companies in developed countries , its global strategy perspective , in order to seek to build a higher level of competitiveness , for the purpose of long - term competitive advantage . With the economic strength , more and more enterprises in developing countries also joined the army of the cross-border mergers and acquisitions , Chinese companies are no exception , and have to go abroad to explore overseas markets . But in comparison , most of cross-border mergers and acquisitions of Chinese enterprises is still in its infancy , has not risen to the height of the strategy to enhance the competitive advantage of enterprises . Therefore , research the role of cross-border mergers and acquisitions to enhance enterprise competitive advantage has important theoretical value and practical significance . In this paper, based on the theory of cross-border mergers and acquisitions and corporate competitive advantage , comparative analysis of the status and characteristics of the cross-border mergers and acquisitions of domestic and foreign enterprises , and pointed out the inadequacies of existing Chinese enterprises . Followed by the performance of the enterprise competitive advantage in the form , source , enhance the way described , and cross-border mergers and acquisitions in the competitive advantage to enhance the mode , the transmission mechanism and the influencing factors were analyzed in detail , a clear cross-border mergers and acquisitions enhance enterprise competitive advantage role. Next , on the basis of the previous theoretical analysis , combined with Lenovo 's acquisition of IBM 's global PC business case , the use of quantitative and qualitative analysis method , empirical research on cross-border mergers and acquisitions to enhance the competitive advantage . Finally, the actual situation of cross-border mergers and acquisitions of Chinese enterprises , pointed out that the revelation of Lenovo's acquisition of IBM PC business to Chinese enterprises .
