Abstract


In this thesis,the influence of thermal expansional coefficient on the self-lubricating ability of the sweating composites at high temperature is investigated based on the prediction of composites’ thermal expansional coefficient.Firstly,According to the theory of micromechanics,a formula is developed and used to predict the thermal expansional coefficient of metal matrix composites at high temperature.Based on the calculating parameters in formula only depend on composites design in the material,therefore,it no needs to distinct reinforcement phase and matrix phase,so that the calculation results have better conformly with experimental data.This shows the formula can be effectively applicated in engineering.Secondly,a software be designed to estimate and analyse the coefficient of thermal expansion of the materials,based on the fumula above and with VC++6.0.A series of calculating results show the software can effectively used to analyze the thermal expansional characteristics of the composits with arbitrary ingredient and calculate their expansional coefficients.It is significant that the research benefits of design of the phase ingredient design of lubricating phase and matrix phase.Thirdly,a new model is set up to research the influence of thermal expansional coefficient on the self-lubricating ability of sweating composites.On basis of the results obtained by designed software,the influence are simulated by ansys software. The conclusion shows that the thermal expansional coefficient of metal matrix influents the self-lubricating ability greatly,with the increase of thermal expansional coefficient of metal matrix,the diffusion quantity of solid lubricating material decreased,and the ability of self-lubricating descended.
