Abstract
|
Steel reinforced concrete (SRC) is one of the 10 popularizing technologies in construction industry and the key recommended way of building structure "Tenth Five-Year Plan" in China, which will have a good prospect in construction field in the future. However, the investigations on the members of SRC before were mainly focused on the normal section bending, oblique section shearing, seismic behavior, tectonics and the mechanical behavior of joints, all which mentioned in the Chinese specification; but there is less investigation on the torsional performance, which is not referred in the specification. In practical structures, members subjected to composite torsion status are the general cases and it is of practical significance and broad prospect to investigate the torsional performance of SRC under pure torsion and composite status, which will be meaningful for both the theory and practice, not only meeting the requirements of the member design but also improving the theoretical analysis of SRC members,At present, there are few research papers about the torsional properties of SRC in China, which is the same case abroad. And the Japanese specification refers to the torsional calculation of SRC. According to the specification, the torsional capacity of the members is the superposition of both the steel and the reinforced concrete, but the study about it is still limited, also mentioned in the specification. In this paper, four SRC members with the same cross-section but different axial compression ratio are studied. They were loading with pressure-torsion effect. The results from the experiments are compared with the finite element analysis, carried out by ANSYS program. All that will provide a comprehensive study on the pressure-twisting performance of the SRC members. Furthermore, for the originality of the experimental design and the testing device in this project, it is awarded the National Invention Patent and Utility Model Patent, respectively.
