Abstract


Since the reform and opening,with the rapid development of national economy and the changes of family formations,children’s living,growth and protection as the primary element to develop our people’s diathesis,has got more and more attention.However,the problems of children loom large nowadays,especially the lack of communication behaviors has become a widespread problem today.It has a direct result of a range of other problems about children,such as interpersonal loneliness,social phobia, self-centered and so on.Communication behavior is one of the most important factors on the healthy development of children and the motivation of children’s socialization.It directly affects their social interaction in the future.In addition to schools,residential area is another important place for children,which has great significance in the physical and mental health of children and the improvement of children’s social personality.The paper is focusing on children’s communication behaviors,combined with research results of urban planning,architecture,environmental behavior and children’s behavior psychology.It selects a number of cases of residential areas to investigate and analyze.The main research contents are as follows:①Relevant theoretical research of children’s psychology,behavior and the space of settlements.Analysis focused on the characteristics and modes of children’s communication behaviors,which provide a scientific theoretical system for empirical research in this article.②The empirical research on external space of residential area.The author chooses a number of residential areas in Dalian to have field surveys,questionnaires and interviews. Through a large number of statistical,it can be summed up that the main factors to induce children’s communication behaviors and some problems in new residential areas.③Research summary.Based on the theoretical analysis and empirical research,the author concludes that spatial characteristics in external space to induce children’s communication behaviors,as well as some suggestions about the specific design.In short,through the study of this article,the author hopes it could guide the current residential buildings,and also provide empirical reference for the future improvement of planning theory.
