Abstract


December 3, 2007, the 13th Conference on Climate Change held in Bali, Indonesia, attracted the eyes of the world, Bali road map developed by the Conference, marks the human greatly forward step in the process to prevent climate change; major websites in our country, a South China tiger photos authenticity of the discussion is still rampant. These two seemingly unrelated things to us actually conveys the same message: The environmental crisis has directly or indirectly affects the nerve around the world. In addition to Antarctica, the world can find traces of the wetland. According to the World Conservation Monitoring Centre estimates that wetlands accounted for 6 percent of global land area, total area of ??approximately 570 million hectares (5.7 million square kilometers). Compared to the water resources of land resources, and other individual human perception is more intuitive resources, the importance of wetlands to be recognized and accepted later. But in recent years, the international community has continuously committed to the protection of this particular elements as a whole, made many achievements. According to the \Convention has 158 Parties, with 1721 wetland into the International Wetlands, an area of ??159,551,478 hectares. As the world's only one dedicated to the wetlands and their ecosystems protected objects of the Convention, the Convention on Wetlands, the main components of wetland protection in the mechanisms of international law, its central position and the value is self-evident. The wetland itself as an important environmental elements, features and functionality, benefits starting in the backdrop of the perspective of environmental ethics and the global environmental crisis, the analysis of the necessity and urgency of the establishment of wetlands of international law protection mechanisms. Subsequently, to review his wetland of international law protection mechanism to establish a milestone and improve the process based on, established the Convention on wetlands, wetland protection mechanism for the core, described wetlands of international law protection mechanism of the composition of and the specific implementation mechanisms, and further analysis of the \a significant contribution by the state of cooperation between the Convention and other international conventions and NGO, and several important international organizations. Portrayed by several components of wetlands protection mechanisms of international law above, depicting a wetland of international law protection mechanisms. In the third chapter, several major problems existing wetland protection mechanisms of international law, and trying to existing inadequacies, several suggestions for improvement. As our country in recent years, the wetland conservation has invested a lot of energy, and our consistent commitment to wetlands protection mechanisms of international law standards, so in the third chapter at the end, this paper examines the status and legislation of the Wetland Protection in China.
