Abstract


Karl Marx’s theories on religion are interspersed among his works, which still have deep-going and lasting influence in the world today. Especially, studies on Marxian religion views are around in the academic world in China in recent years, to meet the need of building socialism with Chinese characteristics. "Religion is the opium of the people" is the classical saying of Karl Marx and a significant component of his religion views. And therefore, it’s an important way to study Marxian religion views by researching into the treatise "Religion is the opium of the people".By linking the longitudinal and the transverse clues together, after reading the original work, this paper attempt to analyze the research situation of Karl Marx’s theory of the opium in the past sixty years in China.At the same time, for the purpose of getting a better understanding of the sentence, we will bring Marxian religion views into our visual field, and then present the historic changes of Marxian religion views and the proper attitude to it.In order to clarify the premise of my study, this thesis makes an analysis historically on the selected topic, makes an exposition of the internal relation between Marxian religion views and "Religion is the opium of the people" in the first instance.Secondly, according to the historical sequence, this article lists the research situation of "Religion is the opium of the people" systematically in domestic academic world dynamically and in sectional type.Thirdly, the essay analyses the research status of Marxian religion views so as to put the existing study of "Religion is the opium of the people" into the monolithic research of Marxian religion views.Finally, according to the principle of historical materialism to explain Marxian religion views properly to guide the value of the current practice, this paper emphasizing on the rational attitude to interpreting Marx Religion, comes to an integrity and historic interpretation further.
