Abstract


Intelligent Virtual Human plays an increasingly important role in both fields of Artificial Intelligence(AI) and Virtual Reality(VR) in recent years.Constructing the intelligent virtual human with autonomic behaviors by combining the relative technology of AI with VR has become an important content of VR study.To realize the believable existence of human being in the virtual environment,we should not only represent physical appearance of virtual humans,but also improve their intelligence.Based on the research of H-anim,Fluent Calculus and its implementation language FLUX have realized the aim-oriented and autonomously reasoning about actions for virtual human in dynamic environment in this paper, thereby planning the action sequence to achieve the aim situation and displaying by the EAI of VRML and Java thread in virtual scene.The main works in this thesis are listed as follows:1) Based on the analysis of Fluent Calculus and the description for VRML representing Physical World,the Shape Knowledge Map Specification on the foundation of XML is proposed.It is developed to describe the mappings which exist between shape attribute and fluent,action and action implementation,respectively.2) On the foundation of Shape Knowledge Map Specification,the intelligent virtual human model based on Fluent Calculus is proposed.This model unifies environment sensation,planning decision and autonomous action,using Fluent Calculus to describe the intelligent of virtual human and reflecting the interaction between virtual human and scene by EAI.3) On the basis of the intelligent virtual human model based on Fluent Calculus, IVH Simulate Support System(IVHSSS) is designed and implemented.The design of the system starts from the reusability and realizes the integration of Java with VRML, Prolog,using Java and EAI and Java-ECL~iPS~e interface.4) Synthesizing the previous works,an intelligent virtual human system of office scenario has been developed.The intelligent virtual human in this system can reason about action automatically and real-time using the information acquired from sensor in dynamical environment,and it also can achieve action animation according to the action sequence by reasoning.Our paper takes the advantage of the formal method of Fluent Calculus in terms of describing dynamical system and reasoning about action and does some ties on the integrations between Fluent Calculus and Virtual Human,which has explored a feasible way for the research of Intelligent Virtual human and its practical applications.
