Abstract


The marketization of interest rate is the most important part during the process of financial reform of China. People’s Bank of China made a decision to release the upper limits to the loan rate of RMB on 29th October 2004, and under this situation ,the commercial banks obtain the right of making loan prices completely. However, it also bring a new task for commercial banks, that’s how to make a loan price accurately and reasonably. The loan business take a quite large part in the commercial bank’s income structure, and it’s very crucial for the commercial banks’ development that whether the loan price-making is reasonable or not and whether the cost and risk can be compensated or not, therefor, this dissertation provides with very strong realistic meanings.This dissertation is based on the elementary theories of both finance and economics with the current situation of the Chinese marketization of interest rate integrated. Through comparatively analyzing the ways adopted by western commercial banks to make a loan price, the dissertation firstly points out both external and internal factors which Chinese commercial bank should think over when they make a loan price under the present objective environment. Secondly, according to the Chinese commercial bank’s target of asset managing, it provides the models to make the prices of the local currencies in China under the condition of marketization of interest rate. Finally, aiming at the present situation of loan-price-making in China, it produces the reasonable policies and advice for Chinese commercial banks to make prices accurately.
