Abstract

In the realm of supramolecular chemistry, great interest has recently been focused on the crystal engineering of coordination frameworks by use of the principles of self-assembly, which represents a topical and current research interest in chemistry, materials, medicals and biology areas. The reason is not only in supplying useful information about the constructing, entangling even topological linking by covalent and incovalent interactions of molecular entities, but also in both unusual physical, chemical behavior and potential applications as optical, electronic, magnetic, catalytic, materials, molecular recognition, absorbent, ion exchange, gas storage and biological activity. Lately, it is demonstrated that rational design and considerate selecting special organic structure through appropriative approach of assembly should to be the key in constructing target polymers and which is a stubborn challenging work for scientists either. In this research, 13 new complexes of transition metals based on 2,2’-biimidazole(H2biim), 2-aminopyrimidine(2-amp) ligand in variety conditions have been prepared. They are [Cu2(H2biim)2(SCN)4]·DMSO (1)、[Cu(H2biim)2(SCN)](SCN)0.5(NO30.5 (2)、[Cu(H2biim)3][Cu(SCN)4]·3DMSO (3)、[Co(H2biim)2 (SCN)2]·DMSO (4)、[Co(H2biim)3][Co(SCN)4]·3DMSO (5)、[Ni(H2biim)3][Ni(SCN)4]·3DMSO (6)、[Zn(H2biim)3][Zn(SCN)4]·3DMSO (7)、[Cu (H2biim) (phen)(NO3)](NO3) (8)、[Co2(H2biim)5(phen)] (NO34·2CH3OH·H2O (9)、[Ni2(H2biim)4(H3biim)(phen)] (NO34·3.5H2O (10)、[Zn2(H2biim) 5(phen)] (NO34·4H2O (11)、[Cd (2-Amp)2 (SCN)(NCS)]n (12)、Zn (2-Amp)2 (NCS)2 (13),which have been determined by the X-ray single crystal diffraction analysis.
