Abstract


Campus Public Space providing exchange places between teachers and students in the Universities, It plays an important role in the formation of personality and the development of communicative abilities of the students’.Therefore, It is important to research the actual use of campus public space in the university town, and to analyze the problems inside, which will has a significant role in improving the current environment of campus public space and meet the demand of of teachers and students in the university town. But it is a pity that nowadays there is still few academic fruits related to the Campus Public Space,And most of the research findings are using qualitative analysis methods.This paper using spot investigation, interview method ,sampling survey method to get the first hand data,and analysis the characteristics of student activity in the YueLuShan University Town, then found out the activity rhyth, based on this rhyth, to launch investigations and research on the public space of University town.The research is divided into five parts:PartⅠ: The research of basic theory. Generalize the domestic research on related fields, introduces some important ideas about the theoretical fundament, including Man-Land Relationship Theories, Environmental-Behavior Theory、Place Theory and Theory of Urban Ecology. PartⅡ: Research on Definition and Classification on Campus Public Space.first of all, introduce the rise of the University Town and Yuelushan University Town, then import the conception of Urban Public Space, defines the concept of the Campus Public Space of University town.then analyses the relationship between urban public space and the Campus Public Space. At last, give a systematic classification about the Campus Public Space,classified as shaping nature,flat form,economical significance, characterization, service group,main function and ect. PartⅢ: Analysis on the Campus Activities of Yuelushan University Town.First, analyze the type and characteristics of campus activity, and then aiming at the characteristics of campus activity in the core zone of YueLuShan University town.This research found that students activity within this framework put up a certain regularity, then carried out an in-depth discussion. This discussion led the author to consider the use of public space in University town, paving the way for the following research.PartⅣ: Research on Rational Utilization in Yuelushan University Town, it’s the focal point of this thesis. Beginning, have an analysis on the present situation about the public spaces in YueLuShan University Town.Then select Public Learning Space, Outdoor Leisure Space and ect. as typical cases, has a detailed analysis on then. Flowing, point the existing problems about the uitlization of the campus public space, and raising out corresponding countermeasure. At last, proposes the countermeasure about the campus public space in Yuelushan University Town at the view of management system and planning-construction.PartⅤ: Conclusion, Gnosis Insights and Prospects. First of all, summarize the results of this research, and then make some experience during writing this paper, and finally raise the prospect of the research.
