Abstract

Objective To investigate the oxidation of low-density lipoprotein (oxLDL) and lectin-like oxidized low-density lipoprotein receptor-1 (LOX-1) and the relationship between preeclampsia. Methods from June 2007 to January 2008 at the Affiliated Hospital of Qingdao University Medical College obstetric hospital delivery preeclampsia 73 cases, of which 35 cases of pregnant women with mild preeclampsia (mild preeclampsia), severe preeclampsia previous 38 cases of pregnant women (preeclampsia group). Select the same as the normal late pregnancy 45 cases of the control group. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay to detect the maternal plasma oxLDL levels; using RT-PCR, Western blot were used to detect placenta of pregnant women in each group LOX-1 mRNA and protein levels; using RT-PCR to detect the placentas cysteine ??aspartate protease -3 (caspase-3) mRNA expression levels. Results (1) mild and severe preeclampsia plasma oxLDL levels were (0.42 ± 0.11) and (0.68 ± 0.12) mg / L, significantly higher than that (0.35 ± 0.14) mg / L, the difference There was statistically significant (P <0.01); severe preeclampsia group was significantly higher than the mild preeclampsia group (P <0.01). (2) mild and severe preeclampsia placenta LOX-1 mRNA expression levels were 0.70 ± 0.10 and 0.84 ± 0.08, significantly higher than 0.58 ± 0.11, the difference was statistically significant (P <0.01 ); severe preeclampsia group was significantly higher than the mild preeclampsia group (P <0.01). (3) mild and severe preeclampsia placenta LOX-1 protein expression levels were 0.79 ± 0.15 and 0.90 ± 0.12, significantly higher than 0.68 ± 0.11, the difference was statistically significant (P <0.01 ); severe preeclampsia group was significantly higher than the mild preeclampsia group (P <0.01). (4) mild and severe preeclampsia placenta caspase-3 mRNA expression levels were 3.82 ± 0.18 and 5.39 ± 0.14, significantly higher than 2.19 ± 0.20, the difference was statistically significant (P <0.01 ); severe preeclampsia group was significantly higher than the mild preeclampsia group (P <0.01). (5) with mild and severe preeclampsia oxLDL levels in maternal plasma and placental tissue LOX-1 mRNA expression levels were positively correlated (r = 0.93, P <0.05); placental tissue LOX-1 mRNA expression of caspase placenta -3mRNA expression levels were positively correlated (r = 0.84, P <0.05). Conclusion preeclampsia maternal plasma oxLDL levels and raised placenta LOX-1 expression levels, and thus participate in the pathophysiology of preeclampsia.
