Abstract

Objective: Meta-analysis of comparative doing muscle invasive bladder cancer preoperative adjuvant radiotherapy and radical cystectomy after radical radiotherapy partial cystectomy patient survival rates between the two , to understand two treatment methods treat muscle invasive bladder cancer efficacy difference. Methods: We searched Cochrane Controlled Trials Register, Pubmed database ( 1966-2009 April ), Embase databases ( 1980-2009 April ) , Chinese Biomedical Literature Database , VIP Chinese Scientific Journals Database , Tsinghua Tongfang database to gather information on muscle layer invasive bladder cancer preoperative adjuvant radiotherapy and radical cystectomy after radical radiotherapy partial cystectomy case-control study to evaluate the methodological quality of the included studies , extraction studies met the inclusion criteria Meta-analysis of the relevant data do . Meta-analysis using RevMan4.2 statistical software . Results : A total of three case-control studies , the methodological quality of each study are in line with the requirements of case-control studies . 3 are muscle invasive bladder cancer preoperative adjuvant radiotherapy and radical cystectomy radical radiotherapy underwent partial cystectomy article case-control study , the cumulative number of cases was 221 and 218 cases , respectively . Heterogeneity test P values ??were gt; 0.1, using a fixed effects model for Meta-analysis , 3-year and 5-year overall survival pooled OR and 95% CI were OR = 1.91, 95% CI = 1.30-2.82 and OR = 1.85 , 95% CI = 1.22-2.82. Conclusion : Inclusion of three randomized controlled trials 3 and 5-year survival rate overall average preoperative adjuvant radiotherapy radical cystectomy group were 45 % and 36% , radical radiotherapy underwent partial bladder cut group were 28% and 20%. Meta-analysis of the data : muscle invasive bladder cancer preoperative adjuvant radiotherapy radical cystectomy 3-year and 5-year survival rates were higher than the radical radiotherapy patients underwent partial cystectomy . Preoperative adjuvant radiotherapy treatment of radical cystectomy muscle invasive bladder cancer has certain advantages .
