Objective: To study in patients with head injury cerebrospinal fluid myelin basic protein (MBP) levels , and to explore its clinical value for the evaluation of the condition and prognosis of patients with traumatic brain injury . Methods : by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) in 40 patients with traumatic brain injury patients (GCS score 9-15 points) [ light and medium , heavy (GCS score 3-8 ) of the 20 cases of post-traumatic 1,3 seven days in CSF MBP levels in another 15 cases over the same period in the hospital intends spinal anesthesia in surgery patients with non - nervous system for the control group . Statistical methods using a repeated measures analysis of variance . Results: 1 head injury group and the control group in cerebrospinal fluid MBP level was significantly higher , the difference was significant P <0.01 ; higher than the light and medium group and severe group , the difference was statistically significant P <0.01. 2, the head injury group cerebrospinal fluid MBP level with GCS, GOS showed a significant negative correlation ( P <0.01 ) . Conclusion: myelin basic protein (MBP) is a high sensitivity and specificity of nerve cell damage markers . CSF MBP level is closely related to the head injury severity and prognosis in patients with traumatic brain injury in MBP levels in the cerebrospinal fluid can be used as important biochemical indicators to determine the condition and prognosis of patients with brain injury .
