Abstract


Gradually improve and continue to accumulate experience with standard laryngeal mask airway (Standard Laryngeal Mask Airway, SLMA) , its clinical application is more extensive. In particular, the advent of the ProSeal laryngeal mask airway (Proseal Laryngeal Mask Airway, PLMA) , its isolation can digestive tract and respiratory tract , make it on to a new level in terms of airway management . PLMA not only while in the ventilation insert the tube , drainage of gastric juice to prevent bloating and stomach contents reflux and aspiration ; ventilation hood and throat anatomy more match , better sealing , can provide better positive pressure ventilation the airway sealing pressure . PLMA as a tool to open a new type of non - traumatic airway , its indications wide almost qualified for any surgery of the body , so the PLMA and CLMA compared to the broader clinical application , safer . This paper summarizes the advantages of the PLMA , shortcomings and clinical applications designed and colleagues with a better grasp of the the PLMA indications and contraindications , and better use of the PLMA excellent tool to provide better and safer for patients service.
