Abstract

Objective: To explore the to improve primary caregivers of stroke patients about the necessity and effectiveness of the activities of daily living (ADL capacity) training cognitive, activities of daily living to further understand the the primary caregiver cognitive and elderly stroke patients training relevance of the subject to take home track to guide the way of the primary caregiver, continuously improve the primary caregiver cognitive ADL of training, they guide the patient's ability to carry out the activities of daily living training to improve further in stroke patients the activities of daily living. Methods: Convenience sampling principle, select in the Fourth Hospital of Hebei Medical University and Second Hospital of Hebei Medical hospitalized elderly stroke patients and their primary caregivers as the research object. First, assess the cognitive status of primary caregivers before the intervention and patients with activities of daily living, and then according to the primary caregiver cognitive targeted nursing intervention, intervention three months later, the ADL of primary caregivers training cognitive and ADL ability of patients assessed again. The frequency of the study intervention for month 2 times a week, the second month, once a week, three months every two weeks. The main intervention for bed turn over training (focusing on the ipsilateral to contralateral stand up), the bedside sat up, sitting balance, orthostatic training (sitting standing position, standing balance), transfer of training (bed wheelchair, wheelchair toilet) walk training, eating, grooming, dressing, bowel and bladder control, toileting, up and down stairs, bathing, training. Results: The study, a total of 51 cases of elderly stroke patients and their primary caregivers. The study by tracking guidance, the primary caregivers recognize the importance of ADL in training, knowledge and master the ADL in training, caregivers cognitive been significantly improved. Caregivers to patients with the guidance of the scientific training the ADL capacity has been significantly improved in patients with, readmissions were number of ability to score in activities of daily living increased from 31.7 ± 12.6 before intervention to 81.3 ± 14.8, the patient's dependence significantly reduced.
