The Effect of Bi Dou Qing Mixture on CRP、IL-6、GM-CSF in Sinusitis Rabbits

Abstract


Objective:The study established eliminating dampness and heat, making nasal sinuses clean is the main treatment of sinusitis, based on a lot of literature research and clinical practice. Observe the effect of Bi Dou Qing mixture on sinusitis rabbit serum levels of IL-6、GM-CSF、the level of CRP, to explore Bi Dou Qing mixture treatment mechanism of acute and chronic sinusitis. Method: Hinni method was used to conduct experiment on rabbits sinusitis model.54 rabbits were randomly divided into nine groups: normal group, sinusitis, Bi Yuan Shu Oral liquid, Bi Dou Qing mixture with low-dose and high-dose group ,the latter four groups including acute and chronic sinusitis .In the end of the treatment test levels of IL-6、GM-CSF and CRP. And use light microscope and transmission electron microscope to observe sinus mucosa cells ultrastructural changes.Result:IL-6、GM-CSF、CRP level: all of the treatment groups had significant difference with sinusitis group (P﹤0.01);low-dose group and normal group showed no significant difference(P>0.05); Transmission electron microscopy and optical microscopy showed sinus cilia and mucous membranes ultrastructural changes. Conclusion: 1.Confirmed that the pathogenesis of sinusitis there indeed exists IL-6、GM-CSF, CRP levels elevated.2.Mixture can improve sinus-nasal symptoms of sinusitis rabbits and reduce purulent secretions; it can reduce levels of IL-6、GM-CSF and CRP to decrease the release of inflammatory mediators;3.Transmission electron microscopy and optical microscopy showed ciliated cells and sinus mucosa ultrastructural changes.4.Confirmed eliminating dampness and heat, making nasal sinuses clean effective for the treatment of sinusitis.
