Specialty:Chinese Internal MedicineAuthor:Liu YuTutor:Tang Xue ChunStudy objective:Through random-control clinical research,the study intend to survey the effect of using abdomen acupuncture and Chinese drug to cure post-infection cough,expecting to give scientific foundation for expanding application of abdomen acupuncture,at the same time to expand the using way of abdomen acupuncture.Study Method:The study apply random-control clinical research method,choosing out-patient of Chinese Medicine Hospital Guangdong Province between 2008.8 -2009.4(126 examples are in,1 example is lost).These patients were randomly distributed to three groups.Abdomen acupuncture group contains 28 examples,Chinese medicine group contains 54 examples,abdomen acupuncture plus Chinese medicine contains 44 examples.Abdomen acupuncture prescription is "qin qi gui yuan" and acupoint according symptom.Chinese medicine prescription is according agreement.Three group are recorded before therapy,at the third day,six day,nine day and twelve day of therapy.Observing recurrence rate one week after the therapy.Study Result:1.Compare cough accumulated points before and after the therapy:Cough accumulated points before and after the therapy of three groups have difference,which have statistical significance,prompting three groups are effective.2.Compare cough accumulated points at different times after therapy and compare between every two groups:Cough accumulated points of three groups decrease with the therapy time.Abdomen acupuncture plus Chinese medicine group is better than the other two groups at later stage in effect.3.Compare the curing time of three groups:There has significant difference because P＜0.05.Among the total,Abdomen acupuncture plus Chinese medicine group is best.4.Compare effective rate of three groups:The recovery rate of Abdomen acupuncture plus Chinese medicine group is 54.4%,and the total effective rate is 97.7%.The recovery rate of Chinese medicine group is 22.2%,and the total effective rate is 92.6%.The recovery rate of Abdomen acupuncture group is 17.9%,and the total effective rate is 85.7%.Above-mentioned hints that three groups are effective,but Abdomen acupuncture plus Chinese medicine group is better than the other two.5.Compare recurrence rate and safety of three groups:Abdomen acupuncture plus Chinese medicine group have stale effects.Study conclusion:Result display that three methods posses clinical effect.Of the total, Abdomen acupuncture plus Chinese medicine group is better in improve clinical symptom,shorten time of therapy and decrease recurrence.As a new method,abdomen acupuncture plus Chinese medicine can elevate clinical effect.Possible mechanism of action is that it lightens inflammation of respiratory tract and boost immune function.The study also contains some problem.First,it is hard to enforce random operation.Second,the level of acupuncture runner is restrict.So there need to evolve large sample and high-level clinical study to raise therapeutic effect.
