The first part of acupuncture treatment of cancer pain systematic review Objective: To evaluate the efficacy of acupuncture treatment of cancer pain. Methods: We searched the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials (2008), MEDLINE (1966 to June 2008), EMBASE (1974 to 2008.6), PubMed (1950 to 2008.6), ScienceDirect (1995 to 2008.6), CONTROLLED-TRIALS (1999 to June 2008), the Chinese Science and Technology Journal Full-text Database (VIP) (1989 to 2008.6), China Academic Journal Full-text Database (CNKI) (1994 to June 2008), Chinese Biomedical Literature Database (CBM) (1978 to 2008.6), manual searches other Chinese literature published from January 2007 to June 2008. Included studies by two reviewers independently evaluated the quality and extracted data, in case of disagreement were resolved through discussion. The RevMan 5.0 Meta-analysis included studies, can not be meta-analysis, a qualitative analysis. Results: 8 randomized controlled clinical trial, 700 patients met the inclusion criteria, including a high-quality research. Since most of the literature on experimental design, reported there are obvious defects, as well as test, there is a big difference, does not meet the conditions of meta-analysis, and therefore only a qualitative analysis. Results show that, in addition to a high-quality studies show auricular acupuncture auricular acupuncture therapy group in the analgesic effect was significantly superior to placebo ear acupuncture group, are non-comfort compared to the control group and the low quality of controlled clinical trials , but prompted acupuncture has some effect. Conclusion: Acupuncture treatment' dissertation">Acupuncture treatment of cancer pain, but the vast majority of selected test quality is not high, reducing the reliability of the conclusions need to be more rigorous design high-quality randomized controlled trials to prove. The second part of the clinical research Objective: To observe the analgesic effect of acupuncture therapy on cancer pain and quality of life in patients with cancer pain, mental state. Methods: 22 patients with cancer pain under pain of light, moderate and severe divided into three layers, each layer patients randomly assigned to the acupuncture group and the placebo group according to the random number table. The two groups can be maintained during the study baseline analgesics usage. During the study period VAS pain scale evaluation of the clinical efficacy of pain relief, and QLQ-C30 scale and SCL-90 scale evaluation of cancer pain patients quality of life and mental state. Results: acupuncture group and the placebo group at day 7, the difference between the two groups before and after 14 days and 21 days at three time points VAS pain score was no significant difference between the acupuncture group in more than three time points the difference before and after comparison group there was no significant difference. Placebo group difference between the groups in the first 14 days and 21 days before and after comparison P lt; 0.05, significant difference. QLQ-C30 scale score results show that, in addition to the loss of appetite scoring factor, the group of seven days of the acupuncture group and the placebo group comparison P lt; 0.05, significant difference, the other factor rating, whether it is group or groups were not significantly different. SCL-90 scale score results show that in addition to factor in obsessive-compulsive symptoms, acupuncture group compared within the 7-day group P lt; 0.05 significant difference, the other factor rating compared to either groups or no significant differences within the group. Conclusion: Due to the small number of cases of this preliminary study, still unable to determine the effectiveness of acupuncture for cancer pain, will not be able to prove its ability to improve the quality of life and overall mental state of patients with cancer pain, but the results suggest that acupuncture might be interested in cancer pain in patients with obsessive-compulsive symptoms and some improvement, but still larger trials to confirm. The test for the future large-scale randomized controlled clinical trials in the design thinking: take multi-center cooperative manner to expand the number of study cases; 2, increasing the immediate effect of acupuncture treatment of cancer pain observation; 3, using the VAS and VRS The pain evaluation -5 combination.
