Abstract


Cultural Communication between China and the West in the Ming and Qing Dynasties is a hot topic in academic research, in which the the medical exchange is an important part of the exchange of Chinese and Western cultures. This paper discusses the exchange of Chinese and Western medicine in the Ming and Qing Dynasties missionaries media. This paper is divided into four parts. The first part of the Ming and Qing Dynasties of Chinese and Western medicine medium of exchange --- missionaries were discussed. Analysis of the quality of the missionaries as the inevitability of the Chinese and Western media of communication, that the requirements of the times and the missionaries themselves have. Medical Missionary missionaries in the special historical context to explore a more effective missionary missionaries missionary strategy. The main strategy the Romans, to learn the Chinese culture; class in Meeting emperor scholar, to go upper missionary route; dissemination of scientific and walk knowledge missionary routes strategy. On this basis, the missionaries were evaluated as a medium of exchange of Chinese and Western medicine. Missionaries bridging role in the exchange of Chinese and Western medicine, we can not be overstated, also can not be negated, must make an objective evaluation of seeking truth from facts. The second part focuses on details of the Ming and Qing Dynasties Western medicine incoming content, including brain science and the human body incoming tectonic theory, the introduction of Western medical system, the introduction of western medicine and production, the introduction of vaccination vaccinia surgery and promotion, and other content. And all strata of Chinese society incoming various reactions to Western medicine. Background of Chinese and Western cultures, customs and practices different social strata of China on the introduction of Western medicine has made a different reaction: doubt, denial, accept, also had a distinctive integrative medicine thought. The cultural exchange is a two-way, and missionaries in Western medical knowledge to China, but also the knowledge of traditional Chinese medicine introduced to the West. The third part of this article discusses the medicine in the Ming and Qing Dynasties rumor, is discussed in this article focus part. The fourth part of the Ming and Qing dynasties in Western medicine gives us the history of revelation exchange summary analysis of two-way cultural exchange and integration, as well as changes in the status of Chinese and Western medicine in exchange. Western medicine gradually replacing the traditional Chinese medicine, in a dominant position, in medicine gradually relegated to secondary status. Last, but very important, Chinese traditional medicine is the precious cultural heritage of the Chinese nation, the essence of the traditional culture of China's thousands of years of accumulation and medical experience, occupies an important position in the world of traditional medicine. Therefore, in order to establish the status and influence of the Chinese medicine can not shake the belief, the inheritance and development of traditional medicine in China is only a starting point and not the end.
