Abstract


Western cultural exchanges began in the 6-7 centuries BC , followed by increasingly frequent . The 16th century , Western missionaries in China , opened a prelude to the spread of Western painting in China . Abroad then Naxi painting passive , but also reflects the long-standing policy of seclusion, the independence of the Chinese traditional culture as well as the feudal rulers have little effect on the Chinese traditional painting Western painting incoming . Chinese artists really began to take the initiative to start learning Western painting , studying movement began in the early twentieth century . After , a large number of students returning to set up art institutions , the founder of the Fine Arts Publications , changing the traditional fine arts education model , the introduction of the concept of Western painting , thus giving rise to a change on the Chinese Artists . Until today , Western painting still directly or indirectly affect the development of Chinese painting . In this paper , I combed through the the incoming Chinese historical process of Western painting , focusing on the introduction of the end of the 19th century to the early 20th century Western painting , traditional Chinese figure painting innovation , the role played by the development and impact ; and traditional Chinese figure painting representatives any Bonian , Xu Beihong example , that through their personal artistic career , the investigation of the artistic ideas , to meet at the exploration and study of modern Chinese traditional figure painting , the painter of Western paintings factors make response . At the same time , I also will combine their experience to compare and thinking process of learning Chinese painting .
