Abstract


As point source pollution has been effectively controlled, agricultural nonpoint source pollution has become the most important environmental issue in China. In order to investigate the effects of farm household behavior on agricultural non-pointsource pollution, according to the farmers applying pesticides and fertilzers in the agricultural production conditions, the farmers personal characteristics, family resources endowments, family resource endwoments, family scale, farmers farming practices, agricultural policies, the paper set the corresponding survey indicators. In July 2010 to August in 11 counties in Jiangxi Province,199 households conducted a questionnaire survey.189 valid questionnaires were received.Statistical analysis on sample questionnaire and analysis with measurement software SPSS17.0 on household survy data, the establishment of agricultural nonpoint source pollution associated with household behavior multiple linear regression model of factors come to the following basic conclusions.(1) The number of plots, cropping index, the per capita Non-agricultural income and the amount of fertilizer pollution was positively correlated and significant.(2) The scale of operations, cash crops and food crops cultivation area ratio, whether to accept the technical guidance, whether to crop rotation and amount of fertilizer pollution was negatively correlated.(3) Mutiple cropping index, the per capita Non-agricultural income and the amount of pollution was positively correlated with straw pollution. The cash crops and food crops cultivation area ratio, the year of education and straw was negatively and significantly related.According to the conclusion put forward some policy recommendations. Firstly, make agricultural technical training content, promotion of environmental friendly technologies to meet the needs of environment. Secondly, to promote the industrial management of green agriculture, make appropriate scale, not only can raise household income, but also transfer sruplus labor. Thirdly, give full attention to the process of industrialization of agricultural nonpoint source pollution. Fourthly, educate farmers to improve their environmental awareness and use information, technique and fanacial assistant to make them adopt the environmental friendly technique.
