Abstract


Lava plateau of Jingpohu(44°0′to 44°20′N and from 128°30′to 129°10′E),is located at Ning’an city of southeastern Heilongjiang.In view of the sustainalbe develepment of Jingpohu World Geological Park,it is important to study the Floral composition and are physiognomy of volcanic geologic region. Based on field work,the seed plant lists we obtained were classified by species,genus and family,using ZhengyiWu’s areal-types of the world families and genera of seed plants and Peiyun Fu’s geographical elements of Northeast spieces of seed plants.The field investigations showed that there are 493 species belonging to 270 genera and 81 families of wild seed plants on lava plateau of Jingpohu.Of this flora, gymnosperms comprise single monogeneric species of Juniperus and rest of the 13 areal-type genera in 6 families and 17 areal-type species constitute diverse geographical elements..However,the temperate floral elements including 188 genera completely dominate the flora amounting to 84.68%of the total genera present in the reserve.These temperate genera include 394 temperate species comprising 83.83%of the total species composition harboured by the site.Of the total 267 temperate species,Sino-Japan and its subtype,N.E.China and its subtype,Temp.Asia and Old world temperate flora elements,accounted for 56.81%of the total number of species thereby comprising the mainstay geographical elements of the reserve.Mesophytes constitute 330 species(66.94%),and xerophytes amount to 77(15.62%) of the total species.The species composition and distribution of laval plateau indicates the influence of volcanic activity on biodiversity.
