Objective: Bone morphogenetic protein -1 (BMP-1) is a class of metalloproteinases, belonging astaxanthin family. They are directly involved in the regulation of ECM activity in a variety of substances, which directly or indirectly affect the development of bones and bone remodeling process and the outcome can be cross-species induce undifferentiated mesenchymal stem cells into osteoblast proliferation and differentiation of direction, and promote osteogenesis. The main purpose of this study to investigate in rats with experimental orthodontic tooth movement in BMP-1 in periodontal tissues. Methods: weighing 180-220 g, 8-week-old male SD (Sprague Dawley) rats were 21, three as a group, were randomly divided into 7 groups. According to the classic orthodontic referral period of one month, up to 1 day group, 3-day group, 5 days group, 7 days group, 14-day group, 21 days group and 28 days groups. Established in SD rats oral orthodontic tooth movement model to the left maxillary arch for the experimental side, the right side is the control side, mini planting nails as anchorage, with the nickel-titanium tension springs produce about 40g mesial to the traction, the maxillary first molar mesial movement. In accordance with the experimental groups were first 1,3,5,7,14,21,28 days in the experimental rats were sacrificed and specimens were perfused internal and external fixation. OK routine HE staining for histological observation and SABC immunohistochemical methods to detect experimental rats during orthodontic tooth movement in the BMP-1 in periodontal tissue level. PBS instead of primary antibody as a negative control. Analysis using SPSS 17.0 software for gray values ??measured and analyzed statistically. Results: The experimental orthodontic tooth movement process, BMP-1 in periodontal tissues and distribution changes with afterburner time there specific distribution pattern. The experimental results show that the experimental group tension side of the periodontal tissue expression of BMP-1 is higher than the pressure side. BMP-1 in periodontal tissues increases with time afterburner first increased and then decreased. Experimental group, the expression of BMP-1 in the first seven days afterburner peaked on day 21 close to the level of the normal control group. CONCLUSION: The experimental group, the tension side of the periodontal tissues and alveolar bone osteoblasts positive expression of BMP-1, indicating that BMP-1 in rat bone remodeling during orthodontic tooth movement and plays a very important role. This experiment revealed the BMP-1 in periodontal tissues and distribution of further explanation BMP-1 on periodontal tissue alterations have some regulatory role.
