Quality of Vision after Implantation of Aspherical the Acrysof IQ Intraocular Lens

Objective: To investigate the aspheric AcrySof IQ intraocular lens (IOL) implantation visual quality. Methods: 42 cases of age-related cataract patients (55), including 17 males (22) and 25 females (33), age 43 to 82 years, an average of 66.9 ± 9.78 years. Were randomly divided into two groups, conventional phacoemulsification cataract extraction and foldable IOL implantation, a group of implanted AerySof IQ IOL IQ group, 24 cases (28); another set of spherical AcrySof Natural IOL implantation as Natural group 18 cases (27). After surgery in January and March respectively observed eye surgery, uncorrected distance visual acuity (UCVA) and best straightening far visual acuity (BCVA) (3cd / m (85cd / m ~ 2) photopic and scotopic conditions ~~ 2) the size of the pupil, compared to the difference between the sensitivity (CS), postoperative adverse visual symptoms, complications, compare IQ group with Natural group. The results were statistically analyzed using statistical software SPSS13.0. Results: UCVA: in January after the IQ postoperative uncorrected distance visual acuity better than Natural group, but the two groups compared the difference was not statistically significant (t = 1.792, P = 0.079); 3 months after surgery two groups difference was statistically significant (t = 2.105, P = 0.040). BCVA: during postoperative January and March, IQ postoperative best corrected distance visual acuity better than Natural group, the two groups the difference was statistically significant (t = 2.365, P = 0.022; t = 2.105, P = 0.043). Diopter change: after January, March, IQ group and Natural group spherical and cylinder of comparison, the difference was not statistically significant (t = 1.027, P = 0.309; t = 0.250, P = 0.802 ; t = 0.713, P = 0.479; t = 0.790, P = 0.433). The small pupil fire: to ask no significant difference between the two groups in the bright and dark conditions (t = 0.803, P = 0.425; t = 1.129, P = 0.264). CS: Postoperative January photopic conditions compared two groups of CS in the high spatial frequency (12cpd, 18cpd), the difference was statistically significant (t = 2.100, P = 0.041), while in the other spatial frequency the difference between the two groups had no statistical significance (P gt; 0.05); scotopic conditions in all spatial frequencies between the two groups the CS the differences were statistically significant (P lt; 0.05) 3cpd, 6cpd, 12cpd space frequency is more significant. 3 months after surgery, the high spatial frequency (12cpd, 18cpd) under photopic conditions between two groups of CS difference was statistically significant, all spatial frequencies under scotopic conditions, the differences were between the two groups of CS Statistics significance (P lt; 0.05). Adverse visual symptoms: IQ group was significantly less than the Natural group, two groups asked the difference was statistically significant (P lt; 0.05). Surgical complications: no significant postoperative complications. Conclusion: aspheric AcrySof IQ IOL than spherical Natural IOL, better postoperative visual quality.
