Purpose: This demonstration project in the basic pathogenesis of severe pneumonia and phlegm basic treatment method , based on the observation of sputum Qingning medicine inhalation therapy for treatment of severe pneumonia and serum calcitonin levels of correlation . Preliminary evaluation of its clinical safety and efficacy , and to explore some of its mechanisms. Methods: This randomized single-blind approach that will meet the inclusion criteria , 60 patients with severe pulmonary infection were randomly divided into control group and treatment group , 30 cases in each group , the two groups in age, gender , duration of illness and other clinical general data was no significant difference between the experimental group and antibiotic use sputum Qingning ( imipenem ) treatment, the control group using antibiotics ( imipenem ) treatment, treatment one week before and after treatment was observed symptoms, clinical symptoms and serum calcitonin hormone levels and blood, urine , stool routine , liver function, renal and other safety indicators of change . Results: After one week of treatment, both groups of patients with severe community-acquired pneumonia symptoms were improved (p <0.05), but the treatment group improved more obvious symptoms . Two groups of patients after treatment there is very significant difference (P <0.01), the two groups after treatment decreased serum calcitonin , and the treatment group decreased more significantly . Sputum Qingning spray treatment has improved with severe community-acquired pneumonia in patients with clinical symptoms and reduce antibiotic resistance , good heat phlegm effect. 2 sputum Qingning can reduce severe lung infection in patients with serum calcitonin levels , inhibit inflammation. 3 .
