Hepatic fibrosis is the pathological changes and character of multiple chronic hepatic diseases,manifesting with increased synthesis of various components in the ECM.A relatively inadequate degradation resulted in over intra-hepatic deposition of these components.The final outcome will be liver cirrhosis following with further reconstruction of hepatic lobules and the formation of pseudo-lobules and nodules.There are no outward symptoms of hepatic fibrosis,or mild nonspecific symptoms such as fatigue, abdominal distension,loss of appetite,liver area pain,jaundice,liver palms,hepatomegaly,ascites.The manifestation is characterized,and accompanied with other chronic hepatic diseases.Untill now,research in the etiology of hepatic fibrosis is progressing rapidly.As effective drug, get rid of the causes of disease,protect the hepatocytes and protect against liver fibrosis can treat hepatic fibrosis to some extent,but they have heavy side effect and hepatic fibrosis recurrence easily.According to mass literature data,the development of hepatic fibrosis in integrated medicine is expatiated,and the etiology,pathogenesis,diagnosis and treatment of hepatic fibrosis are discussed.To summarize the academic and clinical experience of treating hepatic fibrosis of Professor Xie Jingri, and elaborate them with three cases.Professor Xie consider that liver qi and deficiency of the spleen is the immanent cause of hepatic fibrosis;qi stagnation,blood stagnation,dampness are causal factors of hepatic fibrosis; and blood stagnation is present throughout the disease.Discern asthenia and sthenia,strengthening body resistance and eliminating pathogenic factors is the primary principle;pay attention to liver and spleen;carry out promoting blood circulation for removing blood stasis at the stage of treatment.Skillfully using mehtods of treating liver,directing drug usage, the prescription have a good clinical efficacy.
