Abstract


Famous university refers to the large scale and high academic level and social popularity of university. University school motto, is the precipitation of school educational philosophy and culture, understand a university school motto, can directly touch to the school at the core of the soul and character. More famous university school motto of the similarities and differences of Chinese and western, become the research university campus culture and the characteristics of a key, is an important part of colleges and universities of Chinese and western studies, enriching the theory of higher education is of great significance. Attaches great importance to the university school motto culture construction, for would be to promote university spirit, to create the world first-class university, is crucial. The author through the consult some universities history and its relevant information, to the Chinese and western famous university school motto from the development history, classification, methods and educational philosophy embodies the university four aspects has carried on the comparative study. Proposed the establishment of good university school motto standards and the optimization countermeasures of university school motto. The author thinks that, the good school motto should be stable, deep and implicit; Good motto should reflect university school-running idea, good motto should reflect the university characteristics, good motto should reveal university life of the mind. Also puts forward some countermeasures to optimize university school motto at two o 'clock, formulates the characteristic school motto and the establishment of the school motto functions of a variety of ways.
