Abstract


System of remuneration of university teachers in the United States , both from the practice , or to theory , has experienced hundreds of years . To solve practical problems and theoretical studies , to be more than we were at the forefront . For American Universities , already have a very complete , and effective the real pay system . Studies of American college teachers pay system for to deepen our colleges and universities personnel system and salary system reform , stability teachers , mobilize the enthusiasm and innovation of college faculty and staff , and to enhance the quality of teachers , and to ensure the quality of personnel training , and to enhance the school's capacity for sustained development and competition capacity has important theoretical and practical significance . American Faculty pay system , the use of documentary research , comparative study, the case study method , supplemented by historical studies be fully elaborated . This study from several parts : the first part of the theory of the pay system as a starting point , the theoretical basis of the system of the University Teachers' Salary remuneration economic theory and the two levels of management theory expounded . The second part of the historical review of the development of American Faculty pay system . Respectively from early overview of the three periods of World War II development of the pay system and the 1970s , the development of the higher education management in detail. The third part analyzes the status quo of American college teachers pay system . American college teachers pay its employment type is closely related to American college teachers' salaries mainly contracted salary system and the single salary system in the payroll system . Part IV discusses the University Teachers' Salary five major characteristics of the system as well as the trends of the pay system , and on this basis , to select the leading research universities in the United States , Cornell University , conducted a case study of its pay system . The fifth part through the analysis of American college teachers pay system learn from the status quo , combined with our university teachers pay system as well as the problems , the proposed strategy of Chinese Universities pay reforms .
