Abstract


The author summarizes the main educational choice theory, education cost-benefit theory, cultural capital and social capital theory as the theoretical tools and the establishment of research assumptions, existing theoretical basis for the preparation of the questionnaire, the general education of rural students, high school stage choice of vocational education research, try to apply a variety of quantitative analysis methods, such as two independent samples T-test, chi-square test Binary logistic regression analysis and factor analysis, Analysis of the important factors to influence the choice of. Combined with case interviews of some of these issues for further investigation. The main conclusions are: (1) the cost of education and income, cultural capital and social capital to influence the choice of high school and vocational high schools in rural students, the extent of its influence in descending order as the cultural capital, social capital and the return to education. (2) cultural capital have an important impact on the choice of high school and vocational high schools for rural students, three fields in the domain of the family, relatives, neighbors, family farm domain cultural capital, which parents support the vocational attitude is affecting ordinary high school and vocational high schools select the most important factors that play a decisive role. (3) social capital have an important impact on the choice of high school and vocational high schools for rural students, the academic achievement of junior high school students' personal social capital effect is very large, second only to the supportive attitude of the parents of vocational high school; family social capital on grade point average important to select high school or vocational high schools and students with lower scores, that have the social capital of the family tend to choose a high school, the lack of family social capital tend to choose a vocational high school; educational choices impact of family social capital on the outstanding results of students little, regardless of how family social capital, such students will generally choose the ordinary high school. (4) return to education of rural students in high school and vocational high schools select an important impact on the possibility of the effect of the University, which read ordinary college entrance on very large, second only to the supportive attitude of the parents of vocational high school, junior high school academic performance of students impact: family economic conditions to select high school or vocational high school grade point average, and students with lower scores have important implications for family economic status students tend to choose a high school, the family of the poor economic situation students often choose a vocational high school, and the family outstanding results students educational choices have little effect on economic conditions, such students generally choose ordinary high school, regardless of family economic status what; education costs does not affect the choice of the high school and vocational high schools.
