Abstract


Resilience refers to individuals still healthily and constructively adjusted after they experienced life adversity, trauma, tragedy, threat or other major life pressure. It is the dynamic process in which life events, such as pressure, stress and so on, and protective factors interact at the same time. At present, research on resilience is in the initial stage inland and there is lack of analysis on correlation between resilience and learning motivation. Research on resilience and learning motivation of returnees from senior high school graduates contributes to their healthy growth in pressure and finds the inter relationship between resilience and learning motivation.According to criteria of resilience, 24 returnees were selected from 300 ones as interviewee in this study. Interview transcripts were analyzed and coded into core categories. Contents of returnees’ resilience were finally got. Original questionnaire of resilience was prepared on base of resilience’s contents. 265 returnees were surveyed. After project analysis and factor analysis, the formal questionnaire was formed consisting of 20 items. 351 returnees participated in the next study. The relationship between resilience and learning motivation was explored by relation analysis and regression analysis. The findings are as follows:1. Contents of returnees’ resilience include positive cognition, specialization in learning, self-adjustment and society support.2. The questionnaire has high reliability and validity. The resilience of returnees from senior high school graduates is on the medium level. The male returnees are better than the female in the specialization in learning. Common senior high school is better than key ones in the positive cognition.3. The relationship between resilience and learning motivation showed: positive cognition, self-adjustment and specialization in learning can forecast challenge; positive cognition can forecast enjoyment; society support and self-adjustment can forecast depending on others’ evaluation; society support, self-adjustment and specialization in learning can forecast selection of simple task; positive cognition can forecast attention to interpersonal competition; self-adjustment, society support and specialization in learning can forecast seeking return.
