Abstract


UPS (Uninterruptible Power System), uninterruptible power supply, sustained, steady and uninterrupted power supply device is able to provide power to computers and other electronic equipment. Mains unstable, UPS to avoid power supply equipment suffered a sudden power surge and other hazards, to make it more stable work. UPS spare time is limited, and the variety of unusual circumstances that may arise during their working lives. The UPS managers need to understand the power equipment run-time environment, grasp the working conditions of the UPS. Some UPS are using RS232 or RS485 serial monitoring strategy, approach to management of human duty. When the UPS geographically dispersed, management and monitoring will be limited by the transmission distance. The intelligent UPS is UPS today a major trend, which communicate through an integrated network interface with the computer, which enables network administrators to monitor the UPS through the network, and can realize the Distributed Management. Network communication protocol used is SNMP (Simple Network Management) protocol. SNMP with its simple and flexible, network load, scalable, easily implemented on a large-scale network, etc. are widely used, has become TCP / IP-based network management protocol standard. In this paper, the working principle and mode of operation of the UPS brief introduction of UPS monitoring system, and then analyze the composition of the UPS monitoring system and monitoring technology development status, on this basis, based on SNMP protocol embedded UPS monitoring system , the program design based on S3C4510B and μClinux of operating system, hardware SNMP card to complete the conversion by the the UPS serial monitoring network monitoring methods to achieve the goal of the UPS network management and monitoring on the basis of the SNMP standard protocol. The hardware circuit design, introduced the peripheral S3C4510B power circuit, memory expansion circuit and Ethernet control and drive circuits and the hardware circuit debugging methods and processes are given. In embedded software design of the monitoring system were introduced Bootloader transplant, the transplant Clinux development and SNMP package focuses on the snmpd agent expansion and the SNMP based on μClinux the application design, by analyzing serial MegaTec agreement explicitly UPS monitoring content, design of MIB, serial monitoring to changes in the SNMP-based network monitoring, basically reached the design requirements. Finally, a system test results and completion, and less than and the direction of future efforts.
