Abstract

With the development of three - dimensional modeling techniques , the various models of the virtual environment is more complex, and the complexity of the whole scene is often more than the ability of a computer for real-time processing . Simplified three-dimensional model based on the importance of visual objects in the scene , and to optimize the allocation of the polygon scene model , has become one of the key technologies to achieve real-time rendering in virtual reality applications . Under virtual scene and to simplify the model data to improve computer graphics generation and image processing speed for the purpose of in-depth study of the part of the algorithm , is reflected in the following four aspects : 1 , the structure of the terrain data . Terrain data structure is very important in the virtual environment , the system combines the two elevation map algorithm to generate the terrain , and the introduction of the concept of vector . 2 , the system uses the level of detail (LOD) technology, studied and the terrain quadtree LOD simplified algorithm , and by increasing or reducing the smallest details , and gradually terrain simplification , intuitive demonstrate the effect of the algorithm . Explore research visibility judgment cut scene objects . 4 , undemanding scene of visual effects on trees and other objects , and texture mapping . Experimental research shows , using the algorithm can maintain a certain visual effects premise greatly improve rendering efficiency , speed and simple .
